POI staff is nationally recognized for its expertise in the use of large
databases, including Medicaid and other insurance claims systems, to conduct
population-based research. POI staff has previously been funded by AHRQ, CDC,
FDA, CMS, HRSA, the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, and pharmaceutical
manufacturers. The findings of those studies have been published in the New
England Journal of Medicine, Inquiry, Medical Care, Journal of AIDS, American
Journal of Public Health, Journal of the National Medical Association, American
Journal of Managed Care, American Journal of Health System Pharmacists,
Pediatric AIDS and HIV Infection, Quality Review Bulletin, and elsewhere. Some
